Blackwell Family Fund Raiser Ideas

Hello everyone - for those of you struggling with fund raising ideas, here's a few that might help:

1. This is a link to an AWESOME web-site... tons of great ideas: http://www.fundraising-ideas.org/DIY/index.html

2. Last year at work someone received a $100 golf driver from a vendor, so we raffled it off and ended up earning close to $300 ($1 per ticket, allowing people to purchase multiple raffle tickets). We ended up using the proceeds to buy snacks and treat our employees. Do you have something that you could raffle off??? Ski lift tickets are a good one! Out door projectors are really a hot item right now, especially with spring right around the corner.

3. Bake sale. Sounds stupid I know, but at 3PM when sugar levels drop you'll be able to sell an entire tray of brownies in 10 minutes. Or buy muffins or ice cream bars at Costco. With full disclosure that all proceeds are going to charity, most employers do not have an issue with this.

4. Do you, or someone you know, have a vacation home that you can raffle off a weekend getaway to.

5. Do you, or someone you know, have an RV or a boat that you can raffle off for a weekend.

6. Check out this website, it has some good ideas: http://www.fasttrackfundraising.com/
The Kettle Corn is a good one. Also, this website has on-line fund raising ideas as well!

7. Are you or your family members crafty? Make friendship bracelets or necklaces, crochet/knit beanies (that's what we're doing and it's going WAY better than anticipated).

8. Have a garage sale and have all proceeds go toward the charity.

9. Go to your local laundry mat, coffee shop, grocery store, university, etc and post a flyer offering up services like dog walking, pet washing, light house cleaning, etc.

Hope these ideas help, or at least get your creativity brewing!!! Best wishes to all! :o)
