Julia Wiggins (Tommy's sister) decorated coffee cans with quilted patterns labeled "Quilts for Kids". We solicited stores that carry notions, material and sewing supplies along with drycleaners to display our cans on their counters next to the cash register in order to collect funds to purchase our materials. We are waiting for those cans to fill while we continue to decorate more cans and get them out there collecting money.
We priced our materials at Joann Fabrics and the total came to $408.00 including shipping.
