Last year when my daughter was in fourth grade, she started a business called "Creepy Creatures". Josaleigh and 5 of her friends started to sew various "creatures" with material, buttons, and stuffing. They would make their creatures each day at school during breaks and also at home after school. They sold their creatures for $0.25 - $1.50. They earned over $100 from their business.
Their intention was to keep a small profit for themselves and then donate the rest of the funds. For several months they had been debating where to send the money. The girls liked this quilt project and voted to donate $29 of their earnings to the project.
Thank you girls!!!!!!!
So the total fundraising from the Powers family now is $314.
I have one more idea for fundraising that I hope to have time to complete before buying the materials this week. I'll keep you posted.
